The championship course was designed by Herman Hackbarth and opened in 1962 as the first golf course at the Lake. Dogwood Hills Resort has been a Lake of the Ozarks favorite for nearly five decades. The course, which plays to a par of 70, 6555 yards and carries a reputation as a challenging but not overwhelming track with wide Bermuda grass fairways and well-kept bentgrass greens and is rated at 70.1 with a slope of 129 from the back tees.
