About the Gateway PGA
Improving Lives Through Golf
The Gateway PGA Foundation is dedicated to improving lives through golf while growing the game. Led by former St. Louis Cardinal and MLB Hall of Fame Member, Ozzie Smith, the Gateway PGA Foundation offers extensive programs with a focus on at-risk youth. Recently, the Gateway PGA Foundation played a major role in introducing a new initiative titled PGA REACH (Recreation, Education, Awareness, Community, and Health). This program has a mission of keeping kids in school and will work with local non-profits in an effort to extend their “reach” to the youth of St. Louis. PGA REACH was created to leverage championship golf offered by the PGA of America to create positive community impact. The 74th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, in May, was the official launch of PGA REACH. The 100th playing of the PGA Championship in 2018 will return to Bellerive Country Club and will continue to be a catalyst for the efforts of this great initiative.
