   GATEWAY PGA JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM

ACCORDING TO THEIR AGE POLICIES.

 

Each summer, the Gateway Junior PGA operates camps, non-competitive as well as highly competitive tournaments for boys and girls ages 6-19.

Our schedule will be highlighted by our Junior Classic Series, PGA Junior Qualifier, US Kids Regional Qualifier, Junior World Qualifier and our Junior Section Championships.


THE CLASSICS
The Classics consist of three two-day 18-hole events. There will be two divisions: Ages 13-15, 16-19; however, all ages ARE eligible to play in these events. All results will be sent to the NJGS for national ranking status. The details are on the Classic Entry Form. Only PGA Junior member tournament winners earn exemption status to the final two day Junior Section Championship. If you have entered the Classics ONLY, you are considered a Tour player for the Final Championship. More...
 
TOURNAMENT DIVISIONS
There are three tournament divisions to choose from this year. You may choose and enter only ONE division. A junior golfer may compete in a higher age division. Please select the proper form to complete for registration.

1. 9-HOLE DIVISION is for juniors that consistently score 65 or less for 9-holes. More...
2. 18-HOLE DIVISION is for junior boys that consistently score 54 or less for 9-holes, or consistently score 109 or less for 18-holes and for girls that consistently score 60 or less for nine holes or 120 or less for 18-holes and complete play in five hours. More...
3. TOUR DIVISION is designed to provide competitive competition opportunities for the advanced players ages 14-19 that score 85 or less (boys), or 100 or less (girls). Golfers, entering 9th grade or less, must have permission from the Gateway PGA Junior Director to enter the Tour Division. LEARNING DIVISIONS
You may enter Camps and Mini-Nine or 9 Hole Divisions. Please select the proper form to complete for registration

1. CAMPS: Week long 1 ½ to 2 ½ hour supervised sessions for the beginner, intermediate and advanced golfer, ages 6-19, teaching ratio 1 to 6. More...

2. MINI-NINE: Age divisions for boys and girls 6-8, 9-11; introduces the beginner golfer to tournament golf. Parents or substitute adults will assist in play and scoring. Medals will be awarded at each tournament. There will be no final tournament. Shotgun starts when schedule permits. Rules seminars are required. More...
